Our Process

Step 01

Initial consultation

Julie meets with clients to understand and identify their needs, whether related to global language stimulation, positive psychology, or meditation coaching (family background and expectations, whether they are receiving services elsewhere, or are on a waiting list for services, etc.). This meeting helps determine the most appropriate approach.

During the initial consultation, the global language stimulation practitioner meets with the child and their family to better understand the child’s needs, functioning, and communication environment. This meeting aims to gather general information and observe language skills in a functional context, without providing a diagnosis or conducting a speech-language pathology assessment.

Global language stimulation services may be offered:

  • to children who already have an intervention plan developed by a speech-language pathologist, in which case the stimulation is based on the established objectives;
  • to children who do not yet have an intervention plan, for whom a referral to a speech-language pathologist may be recommended if appropriate;
  • to children for whom global language stimulation helps support, enrich, and advance language development.

Step 02

Implementation of a Personalized Stimulation Plan

Based on the initial meeting, Julie proposes a customized program or strategy, always emphasizing the client’s strengths and areas for improvement.

For global language stimulation, services may be offered to children for whom stimulation helps support, enrich, and advance language development. When a speech-language pathologist’s intervention plan is already in place, services are based on that plan. If no intervention plan exists and the child demonstrates needs, Verbalink collaborates with a speech-language pathologist who is qualified to conduct the assessment and define the objectives to which the team can then contribute.

Based on the information gathered and, when applicable, on the intervention plan developed by a speech-language pathologist, the practitioner implements a global language stimulation program.

This program aims to stimulate the overall development of the child’s language skills (comprehension, expressive language, vocabulary, functional communication) through age-appropriate and needs-based activities, with an emphasis on the child’s strengths and the enjoyment of communication.

Step 03

Implementation and support
Julie actively works with the client through sessions, guiding them through activities and techniques that promote growth and learning in the targeted area.

Step 04

Ongoing support and adjustments
Julie provides ongoing support, adjusts the program as needed, and offers resources to parents and caregivers to maintain progress at home or in daily life.
